Job Title: SMT OperatorJob Description

We are seeking a skilled SMT Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining SMT equipment to produce high-quality complex circuit board assemblies. You will work independently to ensure that all processes are followed accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate SMT equipment including Screen Printer, SPI, Pick & Place, and Reflow Oven.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on SMT and production equipment.
• Set up, read, and understand setup lists, assembly instructions, and assembly notes.
• Prepare and load components into feeders.
• Adhere to ESD handling procedures for sensitive electronic devices per ANSI/ESD s20.20-2007.
• Apply knowledge of IPC-A-610 and JSTD-001 standards for electronic assemblies.
• Identify manufacturer's part number markings and critical component features such as package type and size.
• Understand ROHS and non-ROHS compliance and compatibility.
• Document and report non-conforming material.
• Identify proper feeder types such as 8mm x 2mm, 16mm x 8mm, and vibratory.
• Recognize Sn63 and Pb-free solder pastes and print solder paste on PCB.
• Perform routine maintenance for production equipment.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the SMT industry.
• Experience with SMT equipment such as Screen Printer, SPI, Pick & Place, Reflow Oven, and AOI.
• Certification or knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, and JSTD-001 standards with a minimum of 3 years.
• Ability to be trained for equipment maintenance.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with MS Office.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Soldering and electronic assembly skills.
• Production setup and assembly experience.
• Knowledge of surface-mount technology and electronics.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nampa, ID.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr.
