Assistant Construction Manager

We are seeking an Assistant Construction Manager to support our team at Beynon Sports, an industry leader in the design, manufacture, and construction of world-class running tracks. Beynon partners with schools, universities, municipalities, and professional athletic organizations across the U.S. and internationally. With every project, our goal is the same: to deliver exceptional surfaces that inspire champions. The Assistant Construction Manager will be working closely with project teams and under the direction of the Construction Manger to support the on-time, on-budget, and high-quality execution of track and sports surfacing projects. You'll assist in day-to-day site operations, coordinate logistics, and help ensure that every Beynon installation meets our exacting performance and safety standards. If you are not at the job site, you will be based at the office located in Hunt Valley, MD.

What you'll do:

• Support the Construction Manager in daily oversight of site operations for running track and athletic surface installations

• Coordinate subcontractors, deliveries, and site logistics to maintain project schedules

• Monitor construction progress and assist in resolving on-site challenges proactively

• Ensure job site safety protocols are followed at all times

• Assist with documentation, including daily reports, material tracking, RFIs, and quality checks

• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams

• Travel to various job sites across the region or country as needed up to 50%

What you need for success:

• 2+ years of experience in construction or site supervision (experience with sports surfacing preferred)

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field, OR equivalent experience

• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills

• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with project management tools a plus

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel

• Experience with synthetic or polyurethane running track systems (preferred)

• Familiarity with Beynon products or similar sports surfacing systems

• OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred)
