As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Commercial Insurance Underwriter to join our dynamic team.

Job Summary : As a Commercial Insurance Underwriter, you will be responsible for evaluating insurance applications, determining the risk of insuring a client, and establishing appropriate premium rates and coverage limits. Your expertise will directly contribute to our mission of delivering tailored insurance solutions to meet the unique needs of our commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Analyze and assess the risk involved in insuring commercial properties and businesses.
  • Determine eligibility and develop coverage plans and pricing strategies based on risk assessment and underwriting guidelines.
  • Review and interpret commercial property insurance applications, including financial documents, loss history, and other relevant information.
  • Collaborate with brokers and agents to gather additional information, negotiate terms, and ensure accurate risk evaluation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, trends, and competitive conditions.
  • Provide support to claims and risk management teams as needed to resolve issues and improve client satisfaction.
  • Utilize underwriting tools and systems to manage quotes, policies, and endorsements efficiently.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial insurance underwriting, specifically in property insurance.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to interpret complex documents.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in underwriting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
