Okuma CNC Machinist – Day Shift

Location : Houston, TX

Employment Type : Full-Time

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced CNC Machinist who’s comfortable taking ownership of setup, operation, and quality checks on a brand-new Okuma machine . This is a day-shift position with a stable, well-organized team that’s investing in new technology and steady growth.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate an Okuma CNC machine (mill or lathe depending on background)
• Run production parts with attention to accuracy, repeatability, and cycle efficiency
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and GD&T
• Perform tool offsets, wear adjustments, and basic edits at the control
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measurement tools
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety procedures
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and leadership to keep production moving smoothly
