Information Technology (IT) Systems Engineer

100% Onsite - Location: Los Angeles, CA 90056

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking an Information Technology (IT) Systems Engineer will support the agency's Windows Servers, VMware virtualization and datastores. The ideal candidate with ensure said systems are highly available, reliable and secure.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• System administration of a Microsoft Windows Domain environment running DFRS, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, IIS, Certificate Services, Federation Services, and other similar services.
• Management of VCenter running on a clustered HP server with 100-150 VMs.
• Administration of Office 365, Entra ID and on-prem active directory infrastructure.
• Monitoring of all critical systems using various monitoring tools and timely incident response.
• Designing and implementing complex systems in full alignment with organizational goals.
• Automating IT tasks by using Microsoft PowerShell tools and scripts.
• Configuring systems utilizing industry and manufacturer best practices.
• Performing system upgrades and patching to minimize security vulnerabilities.
• Maintaining accurate and up to date infrastructure documentation and knowledge base.
• Providing Tier-2 support to the agency's helpdesk and security teams.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university and 5-7 years of verifiable relevant work experience.
• Technical Certifications such as VMware VCTA, VMware VCP, Microsoft MCE or MCA certifications are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years as a windows administrator in a similar environment.
• Minimum of 3 years supporting VMware infrastructure.
• Minimum of 3 years managing shared and direct connected storage.
• Minimum of 3 years Windows System patching and upgrades.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience supporting an on-prem Exchange Server
