Skills : Telemetry, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Cardiac GTT exp. MUST be comfortable with cardiac drips including : Cardizem, Dopamine, dobutamine, milrinone, amiodarone, Lasix and heparin.

Certs : ACLS, BCLS

Unit will accept contracts for weeks

Float Requirement : Yes, to other telemetry units.

Weekend Requirement : Weekend Days in a -week time track.

PATIENT DIAGNOSES : They may get various types of patients requiring telemetry monitoring including chest pain, arrhythmias, pacemaker, or defibrillator. They work with a heart failure navigator.

UNIT SYSTEMS : Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR

UNIT ORIENTATION : hours of orientation

SCRUBS : Not provided – Navy
