Laboratory Technician

Johnson Service Group has a part time, on-site position for our client in San Jose as a Laboratory Technician.  Looking for an AA Degree in science and 2 years experience or a BA.  A great job for a student or someone seeking a part time position.

The successful candidate will have experience  in :

• Experience in operating and troubleshooting basic laboratory equipment.
• Experience in quality control and quality assurance tasks.
• Familiarity with the ELAP and / or TNI standard, or equivalent as it pertains to water / wastewater analysis.
• Some experience in field sampling and completing chain-of-custody documentation preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite of applications, advanced-level knowledge of Excel and Word preferred.
• Experience with using Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

You will perform :

• Perform water analysis for chemistry parameters with minimal supervision.
• Prepare chemical reagents and quality control standards.
• Maintain inventory and purchase supplies and reagents as needed.
• Perform quality control tasks to ensure adherence to State requirements.
• Perform laboratory safety inspections.

Pay :    $34.08 / Hr.

20 + Hours per week.
