Quality Control Laboratory Technician

As a Quality Control Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing lab inspections, conducting tests on raw, in-process, and final products, and conducting analyses to support quality assurance. You will assist in investigating quality issues, field failures, and root cause analyses, and maintain quality control files and records. Additionally, you will evaluate new products, assist the QA manager and R&D team with small batch testing and formulating, and conduct quality control checks on manufacturing and jobber products as well as test customer products.

• Perform lab inspections and testing on raw, in-process, and final products.
• Conduct analyses to support quality assurance.
• Assist in investigating quality issues, field failures, and root cause analysis.
• Maintain quality control files and records.
• Conduct new product evaluations.
• Assist QA manager and R&D with small batch testing and formulating.
• Perform quality control checks on manufacturing and jobber products.
• Test customer products.

• Proficiency in quality control and laboratory testing (Spectrometer, viscosity, scale, etc).
• Strong math skills.
• Exceptional multi-tasking abilities and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of chemistry, especially polymer chemistry.

• A degree in biochemistry or chemistry is a plus, but not required.
• Experience within a polymer or adhesive environment is beneficial.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience with liquid resins and chemical compounding is an advantage.

You will work within a small team, directly collaborating with the QA Manager and sometimes the R&D Manager. The working hours are from 6am to 2:30pm. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tustin, CA.

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $29.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Tustin,CA.
