This role combines technical expertise, patient education, and emotional support to ensure optimal outcomes for individuals with chronic or acute renal failure.

- Deliver hemodialysis treatments following established protocols, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and quality care.
- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and emotional well-being, and monitor vital signs, fluid balance, and laboratory results.
- Administer prescribed medications and intravenous therapies, monitoring responses and managing potential complications.
- Assist with the placement, maintenance, and care of dialysis catheters and fistulas, ensuring infection prevention and proper function.
- Educate patients and their families about renal failure, hemodialysis procedures, medications, and dietary guidelines to promote self-care and better health outcomes.
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact licensure.
- Ability to obtain a New Mexico license if not already held.
- Prior experience in hemodialysis nursing is preferred.
- Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in operating dialysis machines and related equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
