Summary

Department: Telemetry Nursing Unit

Shift Timings: 18:30-07:00 Hours 3 days 12 hour shift (Monday- Friday)

Per Week: 36 Hours

• Unit Capacity: 34 Beds Population Served: Cardiac Telemetry Unit. Frequent surgical diagnoses for patients on 4 Kidd include, but are not limited to: thoracotomy, lobectomies, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, mediastinoscopy, vascular surgery, and exploratory laparotomy. Frequent medical diagnoses include, but are not limited to: coronary artery disease, myocardial infarction (MI), post coronary intervention, congestive heart failure (CHF), pneumothorax, pleural effusion, chronic obstructive

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
