Director of Religious Education

Description:

Director of Religious Education (DRE) position oversees the successful planning, execution of religious education for the parish through volunteer staff, nourishing and strengthening knowledge and love of our Catholic faith and God.

Requirements:

Requirements:

• Oversee, grow and empower our Catechists and volunteers to enliven their desire and abilities to develop a deeper knowledge and love of Catholic faith
• Current programs include:
• Pre-K – 8th grade youth religious education programs (PRE and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd)
• Sacramental preparation for youth
• Summer Bible School
• Altar Server Training
• Coordinate Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA)
• Coordinate Adult Faith Formation Programs

Key Skills:

· Ability to lead, nurture and grow volunteer Catechist volunteers

· Knowledge and practitioner of Catholic faith

· Planning and organizing skills

· Budget planning and management

· Ability to bring new ideas and fresh perspectives to faith formation
