Title Examination Assistant

As a Title Examination Assistant, you will play a crucial role in evaluating public records and titles to ascertain the legal status of property ownership. Your responsibilities will include the following :

Key Responsibilities :

• Analyze and interpret chains of title and various records, including deeds, mortgages, liens, and easements, to validate ownership and understand legal constraints related to property.
• Summarize and copy recorded documents that impact property title, such as mortgages and contracts.
• Prepare title commitments by analyzing recorded documents and outlining required actions to ensure clear title.
• Calculate prices for commitments and policies using established fee schedules.
• Maintain organized files and respond promptly to customer inquiries, making necessary updates in line with underwriter guidelines.
• Conduct document reviews and perform necessary checks prior to approving original document recordings.
• Draft comprehensive write-ups for title insurance policies.
• Engage in business development efforts to nurture existing customer relationships and attract new clients.
• Provide supervision and guidance to title assistants and examiners when needed.
• Lead training sessions for team members and clients on title-related services and products.
