Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Pipe Welding Trainers for a contract opportunity in Charleston, SC.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 6 Years with Bachelor's Degree in related field; 4 years of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree
- Required PPE: Hard Hat, Steel toe Boots, hearing protection, & Safety glasses.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers.
- Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids.
- Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
- May utilize trainers with technical expertise.
- Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.
- Performs on-the-job training, skills training, and some classroom training in assembly and production areas.
- Participates in the development and implementation of new training programs and may introduce new processes and sequences for manufacturing areas.
- Maintains rosters of training progress, examination records, and certification records and may monitor trainees.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree is required. School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS:
4/10 workweek. Either First 6am to 4:30pm MON-THURS or Second 4pm to 2:30am MON-THURS. Training will be in VA for up to 4 months prior to coming back to Charleston.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
