The University of Iowa Health Care is seeking a patient centered Medical Assistant II to work at our Bettendorf Outreach Clinic. Our Medical Assistants develop relationships and get to know our patients and monitor patient care history and deliver personalized, compassionate care every time to each patient. This position supports our other clinics located within the building which includes but not limited to : Pediatrics, Dermatology, and Endocrinology. This position requires travel within a two-hour radius approximately once per month and includes the use of a fleet vehicle, along with paid drive time. Summary

Under direct supervision of LIP (licensed independent practitioner), RN (registered nurse), NM / ANM (nurse manager / assistant nurse manager) or other licensed designee, functions as a member of the patient care team. Performs technical, patient care and related clerical functions in the urgent care setting by coordinating all elements of the patient visit. Duties to include :

• Staff will support our Outreach Clinic patients.
• Under direct supervision of physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or registered nurse.
• Performs technical, patient care and related clerical functions in an ambulatory setting.
• Duties may involve the use of electronic word / data processing equipment and / or conventional office equipment.

Percent of Time : 100% (40 hours per week)

Schedule : Variable hours accomplished between Monday - Friday from 7 : 30 AM 5 : 30 PM; no weekends, no on-call and no holidays

Location : Bettendorf, IA (and surround clinics / locations based on clinic needs)

Pay Grade : 09

Salary : $40,903.92 - $60,760.80 (based on years of experience)
