Certified Medication Technician (CMT)

Overview

The Certified Medication Technician (CMT) assists residents with medications as allowed under State guidelines and is responsible for safe administration of prescribed medications and treatments.

The CMT is responsible for the safe administration of prescribed medications and treatments as listed on Medication Administration Record (MAR).

The CMT meticulously correct records of care including Medication Observation Record. The CMT provides personal care and personal care to residents as needed / assigned and ensures delivery of care and services to residents in the community to include Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), room cleanliness, scheduled activities and dining services and individual service plan need of each assigned resident.

Qualifications :

• The CMT must be in good standing and meet all applicable federal and state certification requirements.
• Completion of high school or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written communication
• Must speak and understand English
• Positive attitude toward those diagnosed with mental illness as well as the elderly.
• Emotional maturity and sensitive to the needs of the mentally ill.
• Certification in CPR and first aid preferred or as required by the state.
• Must be neat and organized.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.

Pay Rate : $12 - $15 per hr. Depending On Experience
