OVERVIEW Cardiac Surgery RN - Seattle, WA ***Pre-surgical visit nurse*** - Start Date: ASAP - Contract Length: 13 weeks - Shift: Mon-Fri, 8:30am - 5:00pm (no weekends, no nights) - Years of Experience REQ: 1 year (2 years of experience as an inpatient nurse or cardiac clinic nurse would be preferred, but 1 year is REQUIRED.) - First-Timers Accepted: Yes - Weekend REQ: No - Is on-call REQ? No - Certs REQ: BLS - Skills REQ: Interpretation of laboratory results, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, Patient teaching, MRSA swabs, Discharge planning - Patient Diagnoses: CAD, AVD, MVD, TVD, HCM, IST, AFIB, HFeEF - Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? No - Pending License Accepted: No; WA RN License in-hand REQUIRED - RTO Restrictions: Confirm with hiring manager but must present upon submission DETAILS Clinis is need of a pre-surgical visit nurse. This includes extensive patient education, interpretation of clinical results, timely communication with both surgeons and schedulers. Performance of EKGs and MRSA swabs are part of the nurse visit, as well as discharge planning. This is a cardiac surgery clinic, so our patient population is mostly fragile and highly anxious about their surgery and life post op.
