Quality Supervisor

Job Summary (List Format) :

• Supervise and work directly with materials / products on the production floor (80% floor 20% office duties).
• Maintain department housekeeping and ensure a safe incident-free work environment.
• Train and develop all quality inspectors within the department.
• Foster a positive team atmosphere and provide leadership by example.
• Plan assign and direct work; appraise performance; manage rewards and discipline; address complaints and resolve problems as assigned by the Quality Manager.
• Inspect and test products / materials at various production stages per quality plans and engineering specifications.
• Perform dimensional visual and functional inspections to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Document inspection and test results clearly indicating pass / fail status.
• Manage nonconforming products according to work instructions and quality procedures.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications.
• Apply knowledge of industry welding codes standards nondestructive examinations and powder coating processes.
• Operate and calibrate a variety of inspection and test equipment both precision and non-precision.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to interpret and define product quality criteria.
• May operate overhead or jib cranes as required.
• Adhere to attendance punctuality and overtime requirements.
• Work cooperatively with team members management customers and vendors in a fast-paced environment.
• Monitor and maintain productivity delivery accuracy safety and inventory accuracy metrics.
• Identify and segregate non-compliant materials and submit cost reduction ideas.
• Ensure all activities are in compliance with safety standards and ISO 9001 requirements (if applicable).
• Responsible for overall supervision quality maintenance and accountability within the Quality Control Department.
