Candidates must be able to start with minimal training related to auctions and estate sales.
You should be confident working independently in homes to evaluate, prepare, and list items for sale on CTBids.com .
Key Responsibilities Sort and identify valuable household goods Create organized, themed auction lots Clean, stage, and photograph items using a smartphone Research and write accurate, compelling item descriptions Upload listings to CTBids.com Assist with auction pickups, shipping, and item removal Coordinate donations or disposal of unsold items Required Qualifications Previous experience with estate sales, auctions, or reselling (eBay, Etsy, flea markets, etc.) Or, deep passion for thrifting, antiquing, vintage markets, and finding rare treasures Strong attention to detail and organization Basic photography skills with a phone or tablet Strong writing and grammar for item descriptions Tech-comfortable (iPhone/iPad, apps, email, internet) Ability to lift 30+ lbs and navigate stairs Reliable transportation and smartphone Able to pass a background check Ideal Traits Self-starter who can work with little supervision Enjoys working in unique, sometimes cluttered environments Respectful, compassionate, and trustworthy—especially with older adults Punctual and dependable Team-oriented but comfortable working solo Powered by JazzHR
