Housekeeping Supervisor
Manage all housekeeping activities, including developing departmental policies and procedures, evaluating existing programs, determining staff needs, interviewing and hiring staff, and directing departmental training programs. This is a 3rd shift position, Sunday-Thursday, 10pm-6 : 30am.
Essential Functions :
- Manage all housekeeping activities in designated areas.
- Assist in the development of departmental policies and procedures.
- Assist in determining staffing needs; adjust schedules to ensure adherence to health, safety and sanitation regulations are met.
- Coordinate housekeeping functions with other departments within the university and meet routine and specialized housekeeping requirements.
- Monitor inventory control of equipment, furniture and supplies.
- Identify maintenance repair items and coordinates services with work control.
- May provide direct and / or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring / firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).

Required Education :
Bachelor's DegreeSeven (7) years of relevant work experience and / or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.Required Trainings / Certifications :
Some positions may require a current valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Required Experience :
Three (3) years of experience in housekeeping / custodial operations, procedures and safety practices.May also require one (1) year of supervision.Physical Requirements / Work Environment :
