Overview

The Rink at Rockefeller Center is seeking enthusiastic, guest-focused individuals to join our seasonal team as Rink Photographers. As part of one of New York City’s most iconic winter experiences, you’ll capture unforgettable moments for visitors from around the world and help create lasting memories through warm, engaging interactions.

Rink Photographers play a key role in delivering exceptional hospitality by combining great communication skills with a creative eye. You’ll take portraits and candid shots around The Rink, encourage guests to view and purchase their photos, and ensure each guest feels welcomed and valued.

This is a seasonal position with both part‑time (minimum 3 days per week) and full‑time opportunities available. All employees must be available to work at least one weekend day each week and during major holiday periods, with schedules that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and outdoor shifts in cold weather.

Responsibilities

Capture engaging photos of guests on and around The Rink.

Provide friendly, welcoming service that enhances the guest experience.

Encourage guests to view and purchase their photos in an upbeat, non‑intrusive way.

Maintain camera equipment and follow company standards for photo quality and safety.

Support overall rink operations and assist with guest flow as needed.

Work outdoors in cold weather while maintaining energy and guest focus.

Uphold all safety, hospitality, and operational guidelines.

Requirements

Friendly, approachable personality with excellent communication skills.

A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.

Photography knowledge and experience using DSLR or mirrorless cameras; basic training provided.

Comfortable interacting with guests of all ages in a fast‑paced environment.

Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Comfortable working outdoors in cold weather for extended periods (winter jacket provided).

Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 15 lbs.

Previous hospitality, attractions, or photography experience is preferred but not required.

Fluency in English required; additional languages are beneficial.

Pay Range

$18 – $20 USD
