We are seeking entry-level and experienced / CDL Underground Laborers to join our team in Manitowoc, WI . In this role you will assist our underground drill teams to complete assigned projects working around both standard and high-risk areas with live utilities.

The Role
Assist drill operators and locators with equipment to complete assigned projectsWill work in and around both standard and high-risk areas with live utilitiesWill learn about utility depths and placementsEnsure vehicles, equipment and tools are properly maintained, in good repair and secured in a safe mannerReview field designs and work with drill team to communicate discrepancies to supervisor for change ordersProperly document all work completed to include pothole and bore logsWill learn and assist with conduit splicing, vault / pedestal placement and fiber / coax placement as neededComplete general restoration and cleanupComplete all projects with safety as the #1 priority, ensuring compliance with internal safety standards and all governmental ordersOther duties as assignedRequirements
Underground telecommunications construction or installation experience (entry level will not need experience but also seeking those with experience and CDL)Ability to travel daily, out of state as needed, with company provided accommodations and per diemsAbility to work outside of business hours when needed, overtime, holidays, evenings, weekends etc., in all seasonsExcellent customer service, time management, problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsHigh level of energy, motivation and attention to detailAbility to multi-task, shifting from one task to another without interruptionAbility to work with a noise level from moderate to loudAbility to lift and carry up to 70lbs as neededAbility to complete work outdoors, in tight spaces or elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing in all weather conditions year roundAbility to safely work and navigate various terrains, managing equipment, safety equipment and toolsMust provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver's license is required if the role involves drivingClass A CDL ideal but not required for all positionsPassing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)The compensation and benefits information is accurate as of the date of this posting.
