Senior Technical Lead – Emerging Tech & Automation | Hybrid STL

A fast-moving, innovation-driven retail technology team is looking for a Senior Technical Lead to drive next-gen in-store automation, smart devices, digital shelf tech, and IoT-enabled retail systems. This is the group working on robots, automation, and cutting-edge cloud solutions—the cool team building the store of the future.

This role is great for someone who loves modern tech, wants real technical ownership, and enjoys leading developers while still being hands-on.

What You'll Do

Lead technical strategy, solution design, and development for automation, smart devices, and digital shelf tech

Build integrations & applications using .NET Core, C#, Python, Talend, REST APIs, Oracle, GCP

Drive POCs / pilots for new retail innovations

Work with enterprise architects, analysts, and business partners to shape the roadmap

Mentor devs, guide patterns & best practices, influence architecture decisions

Ensure scalability, reliability, and cloud-native excellence

Must-Have Experience

8+ years software development

3+ years in a lead, architect, or solution design role

• .NET Core, C#, Python

Talend or ETL tools

RESTful APIs / Web Services

Relational Databases

Cloud (GCP preferred)

Huge Pluses
