MACHINE TECHNICIAN LEV 1 2nd and 3rd Shift

JOB DESCRIPTION : The Machine Technician Level I position is a multi-functional, entry level position that requires mechanical ability. The duties of the Machine Technician Level I will include setup, operation, basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance for cost center equipment. A Machine Technician Level I must be able to read and understand equipment operation manuals and QSAM's. They will accurately complete shop floor paperwork on time. A Machine Technician Level I will focus on safety and quality as they learn to work as a team member supporting the flow of production. They must be able to communicate effectively with other team members, cross functional teams and management. A Machine Technician Level I may also be required to fulfill other duties as needed, including but not limited to material handling. Utility Assembler tasks, 5S and inter-departmental support per daily production requirements. PROGRESSION : Once a Machine Technician Level I has demonstrated competency at the Level I tasks, they will begin training on Machine Technician Level 2 requirements. They will learn how to setup, operate, troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on a traditional line or high-speed line wrappers under the supervision of a trained Machine Technician. They will then be evaluated based on their knowledge and ability to maintain productivity and quality levels while operating the wrappers. Once the Level 2 candidate has been o / J signed off on the equipment and has met all criteria, including the Core Values they will be eligible for review for promotion to a Machine Technician 2.
