About The Position

We are seeking a Gastroenterology Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in Virginia, beginning Dec 23, 2025. This opportunity spans a 4-day assignment with 7AM to 6PM shifts. Join our client's team to provide specialized gastroenterology care during a focused contract period.

Responsibilities and Duties

Provide gastroenterology clinical care under physician supervision

Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with GI conditions

Order and interpret diagnostic tests relevant to gastroenterology

Assist in procedures and follow up with patients as needed

Document clinical findings using the Epic EMR system

Collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Additional Information

Active Virginia Physician Assistant license required

Board certification in Gastroenterology required

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required

Experience with Epic EMR preferred
