Preference Employment Solutions is conducting a confidential search for a Finance Manager on behalf of a mission driven organization. This role is responsible for overseeing core accounting functions, financial reporting, and compliance, while partnering with leadership to support sound financial decision making and long-term sustainability.

This is a hands-on role for a finance professional who values accuracy, transparency, and stewardship, and who enjoys working closely with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Compensation: $60, 000 annually
Type of Position: Direct Hire, Full Time

Position Overview

• 
  Oversee day to day accounting operations, including payroll, bank reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
  
• 
  Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports for leadership and governance groups.
  
• 
  Support development and monitoring of the annual operating budget and provide financial insight as needed.
  
• 
  Ensure compliance with applicable financial, regulatory, and reporting requirements.
  
• 
  Maintain internal controls and support annual audits or financial reviews.
  
• 
  Manage and track contributions, designated funds, and other revenue sources.
  
• 
  Oversee accounting systems and identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
  
• 
  Collaborate with staff and volunteers to support consistent financial practices.
  

Characteristics of a Successful Candidate

• 
  Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  
• 
  Three to five years of accounting or financial management experience.
  
• 
  Experience in nonprofit or mission driven organizations preferred.
  
• 
  Strong understanding of financial reporting and internal controls.
  
• 
  Highly organized, detail oriented, and reliable.
  
• 
  Able to manage recurring deadlines and multiple priorities with accuracy.
  
• 
  Comfortable translating financial information for non financial audiences.
  
• 
  Demonstrates integrity, discretion, and sound judgment.
  
• 
  Collaborative, service minded, and self-directed.
