What You Will Do :

• Lead and collaborate with others on business development activities for new and existing clients. This typically includes the following activities : plans, leads and participates in client meetings, networking events, pursuits, proposals, and project execution
• Establish and maintain relationships with municipal clients, understand their needs, and propose services and / or solutions to address their needs
• Work directly with municipal client staff to deliver CIP programs and / or projects, potentially on-site in a staff augmentation setting.
• Develop project budgets, allocate resources effectively, and monitor expenditures to ensure cost control.
• Negotiate contracts including scope and fee, and manage the execution of the contract.
• Lead, coordinate and delegate a variety of Municipal projects to multiple work teams working in multiple locations.
• Collaborate with others on the development and execution of the Municipal Division strategic business plan
• You will plan, direct, and coordinate program and / or project so that projects move forward within the prescribed time frames and budgets.
• Present proposals, program information, and projects to client staff, elected officials, and the public.
• You will anticipate client needs, biases, and preferences and tailor communication and work output accordingly.
• Understanding of compliance with relevant municipal codes, regulations, and environmental standards
• Maintain open and effective communication with clients as well as internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify potential risks and challenges, develop risk mitigation strategies, and resolving issues that may arise during project execution.
• Prepare or coordinate preparation of project / client correspondence and documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement best practices, and promote innovation within the municipal engineering team
• Understanding of alternative funding sources for municipal projects, and ability to secure funding.
• Serve as a mentor to other Municipal team staff
