Job Summary :

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Saw Operator to join our aluminum warehouse team. This role is essential to our production process and involves setting up and operating saws to cut aluminum material according to work order specifications. Candidates who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced, physical environment will do well in this position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Read job orders for material type, size, and cut dimensions
  • Set up and operate a circular chop saw to cut aluminum
  • Measure material accurately to ensure specifications are met.
  • Count, cut, and stack aluminum materials.
  • Obtain, transfer, load, and unload stock (using a forklift as needed).
  • Monitor product quality and report defects to a supervisor.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance at the workstation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure (required)
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others
  • Familiarity with general carpentry skills (framing, drywall, siding, etc.)
  • Punctual, dependable, and able to work scheduled hours
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
