A full-time contract opportunity is available for a School Social Worker to provide critical support in an elementary school setting serving grades K-6. This maternity leave position is tentatively scheduled from mid-March to mid-May 2026, with the possibility of an earlier start.
Responsibilities include managing a caseload of approximately 30 students, running 504 meetings, assisting with crisis intervention, and collaborating closely with school staff and psychologists. The student population primarily consists of children with mandated IEPs, 504 plans, and intervention needs, requiring skilled understanding and responsive support.
Qualified candidates should hold a valid Connecticut 071 Certification and have prior experience working with special education students. Familiarity with the Connecticut Special Education Data System (CT-SEDS), the state's IEP management system, is strongly preferred to efficiently support documentation and compliance requirements.
