Staff Surgical Pathologist

Practice Setting: Hospital-based Practice

Subspecialty Focus: Surgical Pathology Fellowship training required

About the Practice:

• Well-established private practice that is partnered with a large commercial lab

• Currently 7 Pathologists covering the largest hospital network in northeast Texas

• Currently 2 PAs on staff
• Hospital has a joint venture with Texas Oncology
• Sees a wide variety of Hematopathology and solid tumor cases including
  • Head and neck
  • GYN
  • Breast
  • Lung
  • GI
  • GU

• Surgicals - 1,952/month

• Bone Marrows - 26/month
• Peripheral Smears - 70/month
• Frozen Sections - 65/month
• Autopsies - 7/year

Candidate Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
• Fellowship training in Surgical Pathology required
• Strong computer skills and digital pathology skills is a plus

• Eligible for medical licensure in TX and a minimum of 2 years' experience preferred

• Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
