Emergency Medicine Coder

A company is looking for a Coder I - Technical specializing in Emergency Medicine Coding.

Key Responsibilities :

Refer problem accounts to appropriate coding or management personnel for resolution

Meet coding productivity and quality standards as established by management

Review coding for accuracy and completeness prior to submission to the billing system

Required Qualifications :

High School diploma or GED equivalent

Completion of an AHIMA or AACP-certified Coding program or equivalent

Knowledge of ICD-9-CM / ICD-10-CM and CPT Coding Guidelines

Six months of hospital coding experience preferred

Act 34 clearance required
