[job_card.job_description]Ensure safe handling of items through decontamination process according to policy and procedure Ensure vendor compliance for delivery and packaging of equipment / instrumentation Processing all equipment / instrumentation from all campuses, and offsite ancillary departments Ensure all safety measures taken with regard to policy and procedure Disassemble items for cleaning and sterilizing; reassembling cleaned and sterilized items Complete tray assembly inclusive of inventory, inspection, assembly and containment Complete sterilization process according to policy and procedure Transport completed instrumentation to defined storage locations within the operating room Demonstrates ability to meet business needs of department with regular, reliable attendance. Practices and reflects knowledge of HIPAA, TJC, DNV, OSHA and other federal / state regulatory High school graduate or equivalent. 1 year prior experience in Central Services / Central Supply preferred. Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification to be obtained within 1 year of start date. Must be able to lift up to 25lbs repetitively. This role will require you to stand on your feet for up to 8 hours at a time. This role will require travel to our Bettendorf, Rock Island, and Moline locations as needed each shift, at times mid-shift. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs. The salary range listed does not include other forms of compensation which may include bonuses / incentive, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits that may be applicable to this role.
Overview
2nd Shift : 3 : 00pm - 11 : 30pm or 5 : 00pm - 1 : 30am, Mon-Fri
On-Call every 5th weekend & holidays
Under the general supervision of the Central Sterilization Manager, Responsible for decontamination, disinfection, inspection, assembly and sterilization of reusable medical supplies, instruments and equipment dispensed by the department.
