Pharmacist

We are looking for a Pharmacist to join our team! You will be responsible for dispensing drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.

Job Summary:

The clinical generalist pharmacist will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care services to patients across multiple care settings. Responsibilities include rotating through clinical and distribution services, with an anticipated focus on clinical pharmacist duties for more than 60% of the month. Core services involve multidisciplinary rounding seven days per week, oversight, monitoring, preparation, dispensing, and documentation of medication therapy, as well as advising physicians on appropriate drug use and control. Additional responsibilities include providing drug and patient information, ensuring accuracy and safety in dispensing processes, and managing medication-related systems. Clinical practices encompass dosing and monitoring of anticoagulants, antimicrobials such as vancomycin, total parenteral nutrition, patient-controlled analgesia, and other specialized therapies. The role also offers extensive opportunities for teaching and mentorship, including precepting pharmacy IPPE/APPE students and supporting postgraduate training for PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents.

Responsibilities:

• Candidates must possess a pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited institution and have completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency or have equivalent hospital practice experience.
• Pharmacy licensure or eligibility in Indiana is required.
• Candidates must have a high level of clinical practice skills, enthusiasm for teaching, and the interpersonal skills needed to interact effectively with students, health professionals, and patients.
