Position Overview
The Senior Payroll Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll operations while supporting benefits administration for DMG MORI USA, Inc. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can manage complex payroll processes, maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, and drive process improvements. The ideal candidate will collaborate across departments to enhance efficiency and deliver exceptional service to employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute full-cycle payroll processing with precision and timeliness.
- Support payroll and benefits administration to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Manage and audit all federal, state, and local tax jurisdictions.
- Maintain and update employee data within HR systems to ensure accuracy.
- Generate and analyze reports related to compensation, benefits, general ledger, accruals, and organizational metrics.
- Prepare accurate year-end reporting (W-2, W-2c, ACA, etc.).
- Handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
- Partner with leadership to identify and implement process improvements.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees at all levels, providing timely and professional support.
- Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 3–5 years of payroll experience in a corporate environment.Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to shifting deadlines.Exceptional attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills.High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.Effective communication skills—both written and verbal—with internal and external stakeholders.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Experience with ADP systems preferred.Work Environment
Primarily office-based with occasional exposure to manufacturing environments, which may include noise, chemicals, and heavy equipment.
