Description :

The position is for a Medical Surgical nurse working night shifts.

The unit welcomes first-time travelers.

Float to like units may be required based on facility needs.

Weekends as needed.

Patient diagnoses include stroke patients as well as surgical patients.

Telemetry central monitoring is available 24 / 7; interpreting dysrhythmias is not required.

Candidates should possess skills such as blood product administration, colostomy care, and management, and CPAP / BiPAP management.

Other relevant skills include peripheral line care, telemetry, and wound care.

The average daily census is approximately 30 patients.

The patient age groups include adults and geriatrics.

The facility provides interdisciplinary support, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.

Travelers will receive a brief orientation on the unit.

Modules are part of the orientation process.

All applicants should be aware of floating requirements as necessary.
