Construction Helper - Ductwork

Overview

The Helper is responsible for completing basic tasks that require physical labor on large commercial mechanical and plumbing construction sites.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include:

1. General construction clean up.
2. Assists in material distribution.
3. Assists mechanics installing HVAC and Plumbing.
4. Learns code requirements.
5. Maintains a safe and secure work environment and attends safety meetings.
6. Loads and unloads building materials to be used in construction.
7. Operates or tends equipment and machines used.
8. Follows construction plans and instructions.

Qualifications

The qualifications include:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of construction experience.
• Ability to communicate on all levels.
• Must have adequate/reliable transportation to the jobsite daily.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Versed in the industry and the companys competitors.
• Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
• Plumbing & mechanical experience.
• Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles.
• Climbing stairs.
• Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Operating machinery and/or power tools.
• Outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind.
• Noisy environment.
• Light to heavy work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects from 20-100 pounds.
• 50% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.
