- We’re actively seeking a talented Solution Architect to support enterprise functions such as Finance, Actuarial, HR, Compliance, Risk & Legal, to join our to join our Pacific Life Technology Architecture in Newport Beach, CA.As a Solution Architect aligned to Corporate functions such as Finance, HR, Actuarial, Risk, Legal, Compliance, you’ll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by providing architecture guidance and direction on our systems and solutions that span our hybrid, multi-cloud environment with several industry leading SaaS and PaaS vendor systems. You will be instrumental in shaping and delivering scalable, secure and future-ready technology solutions that align with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards.You will fill a new role that sits on a team of over 10 people responsible for the architecture function. Your colleagues will include Architects and fellow technology professionals.How you'll help move us forward :
- Responsible for leading, managing, and coordinating the efforts of the architecture of a platform and its products.
- Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and delivery teams to prioritize features and requirements based on business value, user needs, and technical feasibility.
- Define and align technical architecture (platforms, platform products. technical capabilities) with Pacific Life's business strategy, ensuring that business outcomes are achievable and measurable.
- Design and document the overall structure, components, and interrelationships of a platform (IT systems, applications, data, and infrastructure).
- Develop artifacts describing the architectural components of a platform and its products, critical connection points and linkage to the future state architecture.
- Define appropriate patterns to be developed by platform products.
- Responsible for identification of architectural risks and work with platform owners, program managers, software vendors and platform portfolio architects to create and implement mitigations plans.
- Responsible for review of epics and features (enablers) and ensure that the solution architecture supports those features.
- Participate in solution development, assuring compliance with reference architectures, standards, and guardrails.
- Develop prototypes and proof of concepts to validate design decisions, demonstrate functionality, and gather feedback from stakeholders and end-users.
- Create and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the planned features, enhancements, and releases over time, and aligns with the organization's strategic priorities.
- Evaluate new technologies and platform / product capabilities to align to business needs.The experience you bring :
- 8+ years experience as a Sr Architect.
- Strategic planning and blueprinting.
- Product / solution architecture design, assurance and delivery support.
- Technology portfolio optimization and reference architectures.
- Concentration in technical architecture with multiple domains.What makes you stand out :
- Strong understanding of enterprise applications like Peoplesoft, Oracle ERP, Workday, ServiceNow, Coupa, or other similar.
- Proven experience of architecting solutions in one or more of the above mentioned enterprise function domains (e.g. Finance, HR, Risk).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, data architecture, integration architecture, security and compliance frameworks.

- Base Pay Range :
- The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.$148,230.00 - $181,170.00
