Civil Superintendent

The Civil Superintendent is responsible for managing and supervising all field operations on heavy civil and highway construction projects. This role ensures that work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and schedules. The Civil Superintendent serves as the primary leader in the field, coordinating crews, subcontractors, and resources to deliver high-quality results while fostering a culture of safety and teamwork.

District Overview

Kiewit's South Central District is one of Kiewit's leading infrastructure districts specializing in highway and heavy civil construction including grading, excavating, trenching, bridge construction, concrete, asphalt paving, and more. Although most of our work is regionally based in the south-central region of the United States, we also pursue various projects stretching across the United States. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about infrastructure and committed to the construction industry as opposed to design.

Location

Kiewit's South Central District has a home office in Westlake, Texas but leads work all over Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana. Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily field activities, including scheduling, workforce allocation, and equipment management.
• Enforce Kiewit's Zero Harm safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.
• Monitor progress, quality, and productivity; implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Manage material deliveries and maintain inventory to prevent delays.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports and timecards.
• Mentor and develop field staff to build a strong, capable team.
