An Emergency Medicine Physician is needed for a locum tenens position in Belton, Missouri. The role involves working varying shifts with no call, handling emergency care for patients, and supporting standard ER procedures in a high-volume environment. Ideal candidates should be board-certified and have experience in emergency medicine along with required certifications.

- Duration: 3 Months
- Shift: 7a-5p, 1p-11p, 9p-7a or 7p-7a, 7a-7p
- No Call
- All standard ER procedures
- Support Staff: No Peds, No Plastics, No Neuro IR, No Cath Lab, No OB
- Average Patient Census: 81
- Most Common Cases: Higher population of Level 4 and 5 patients. Do get sick patients which require intubation, central lines (have an ICU)
- Annual ER Admissions: 12%
- Robots Used: Neurology, Psychiatric
- Locum need is for equivalent of 4 FTE
- Urgent need as SMD is leaving at end of May and there will only be 2 FTEs remaining
- Locum providers must be flexible to work days, nights and weekends
- Preference is for locum providers to be open to working at main hospital as well as affiliated FSER's
- Main hospital campus may consider less than 12hr shifts, affiliated FSED's require 12hr shifts
- Must be BC in ABEM or AOBEM
- Will consider FM or IM trained with EM experience
- ATLS, ACLS, PALS - Required
