Kingman Unified School District #20 in Kingman AZ invites you to apply for the following certified teaching position for the 2025-26 school year .

Position : 2nd Grade Teacher

Campus : Black Mountain

School Year : 2025-26 (July 9 2025-May 20 2026)

As a KUSD teacher here is what you can expect :

Compensation :

  • Base Pay : KUSDs minimum and maximum new hire salary ranges for teachers include the districts contracted salary determined by years of experience and higher education plus state-funded Prop 301 money. The contracted salary in combination with $8500 in 301 money creates the base wages for teachers which are representedby the salary ranges. (Prop 301 money is paid separately and not included in the employment contract.)
  • The salary range for candidates with up to four years of teaching experience is $45575 - $55475.
  • The salary range for candidates with four or more years of teaching experience is $47575 - $57475.
  • Performance Pay : In addition to base pay certified teaching staff are eligible for an additional $4500 in Prop 301 performance pay.
  • One-Time Critical Needs Stipends (all critical needs stipends are pending appropriate teaching certification) :
  • Candidates offered and accepting critical needs teaching positions in math science and kindergarten may be eligible to receive a one-time $2000 stipend.
  • Candidates offered and accepting critical needs teaching positions in special education may be eligible to receive a one-time $5000 stipend
  • Available Annual Stipends (annual stipends are pending appropriate teaching certification) :
  • Special Education Teachers are eligible for a case management stipend in FY 2025-26 of up to $4000.
  • Special Education Teachers in ED-P classrooms are eligible for a stipend in FY 2025-26 of $10000.

    • To Qualify :

  • Bachelors or more advanced degree from an accredited institution AND
  • An Identity Verified Print (IVP) fingerprint clearance card through Arizona Department of Public Safety or ability to obtain prior to start date AND
  • Teaching certification through Arizona Department of Education : Elementary Certificate Early Childhood Certificate Special Education Certificate with an Early Childhood Endorsement AND One of the Following Endorsements by 8 / 01 / 2028 : Literacy K-5 Reading K-8 Reading K-12 Reading Specialist K-12 AND
  • SEI ESL or Bilingual Endorsement issued by Arizona Department of Education within one year of hire.

    • Arizona offers an alternative path to certification for those with a Bachelors or more advanced degree who would like to pursue a career in teaching. Individuals pursuing a teaching career through this alternative pathway must enroll in a teacher preparation program approved by the Arizona Department of Education and obtain an Alternative Teaching Certificate to be eligible for hire.
