Registered Dietitian (Part-time)

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Registered Dietitian to join our interdisciplinary team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with both clinical and non-clinical staff to deliver holistic dietetic services aimed at improving the overall health and well-being of our members. By leveraging your expertise in nutrition and personalized care, you'll play a crucial role in guiding members toward achieving their wellness goals through tailored nutrition plans and sustainable lifestyle changes. This position is remote-based, with occasional in-person work at our San Mateo clinic.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Collaborate with clinicians to develop personalized care plans based on evaluations and diagnostic test results
• Provide nutritional counseling, helping members adopt sustainable nutrition and lifestyle changes to enhance both physical and mental well-being
• Serve as an accountability partner by setting realistic action steps and supporting members in achieving their goals
• Monitor member progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and coordinate with clinicians to ensure optimal outcomes
• Integrate cutting-edge wearables and technology into nutrition counseling to provide a modern, data-driven approach
• Recommend dietary supplements as part of the member's overall treatment plan
• Review intake forms, test results, and other relevant data, explaining findings clearly and effectively to members
• Conduct virtual visits and follow-up communication as scheduled, offering continuous support via email and our member portal
• Generate custom reports to coincide with virtual visits, ensuring members have comprehensive insights into their progress
• Document member goals and outcomes using our electronic medical record system, providing resources and tools to support their journey
• Maintain ongoing communication and engagement with members through our digital platform
• Keep up-to-date with the latest research and trends in nutrition science to offer evidence-based advice

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

• Minimum of 5 years of health coaching experience, or experience coaching at least 50 clients
• Experience and/or training in functional nutrition or functional medicine is highly desirable
• Registered Dietitian or New York State Certification as Dietitian-Nutritionist
• Passion and expertise in the application of nutrition and food plans to aging, wellness and longevity
• Tech-savvy, with the ability to quickly adapt to new platforms, including our electronic medical record system
• Strong time management skills and a commitment to excellent customer service
• Ability to come into the San Mateo clinic on occasion
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment

EXCEPTIONAL LOOKS LIKE

• Additional certifications in health coaching (IFM, IIN, or similar)
• Interest and experience in use of continuous glucose monitors for dietetics counseling in non-diabetic individuals
• Interest and experience in working with Product and Design professionals in development of reports and member tools
• Interest and experience in dietetics program evaluation and monitoring
