Virtual Service Operations is searching for an experienced AWS Developer to join our dynamic IT team in Fort Meade, MD. This hybrid role requires candidates to work approximately 23 days per week on-site. In this role, you will support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of web-based applications hosted on AWS, with a focus on implementing AWS-managed services, container orchestration, infrastructure as code (CDK or Terraform), and Python-based automation. This role may also include interfacing with both relational and non-relational data sources, and contributing to DevOps pipelines, with full stack and JavaScript/TypeScript experience considered a plus.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS services, Python scripting, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code tools like CDK or Terraform. You will also contribute to building scalable cloud solutions, integrating various data sources, and supporting DevOps automation practices.

Requirements:

• 7-9 years of professional experience supporting the design, development, testing, and maintenance of web-based applications hosted on AWS, with a focus on implementing AWS-managed services, container orchestration, infrastructure as code (CDK or Terraform), and Python-based automation.
• Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. citizenship status.
• An active Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) Security Clearance is required.
• Must be able to work approximately 23 days per week on-site in Fort Meade, MD.
