Material Handler

Duties

• Operate heavy equipment such as cherry pickers and forklifts to move materials within the warehouse.
• Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
• Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation for all transactions.
• Maintain an organized warehouse environment by properly storing materials and conducting regular inventory checks.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as they arise.
• Assist in building pallets and preparing products for distribution.

Skills

• Proficient in heavy equipment operation, including cherry pickers and forklifts.
• Experience in shipping and receiving processes within a warehouse setting.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with materials handling techniques to ensure safe transport of goods.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced distribution center environment.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory management.
• Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor is a plus but not required.
