✈️ Avionics Technician / Installer – Glendale AZ

If you’re an Avionics professional with installation experience, and hands-on expertise with Garmin Avionics, Avidyne Avionics, and being capable of working at a Certified Repair Station, then The Blackhawk Group is looking for you to join our dynamic avionics team in Glendale, AZ.  In this role, you’ll be involved with avionics retrofit projects, alongside a team of skilled technicians, and ensure that all work meets the highest safety and quality standards our clients expect.

As our Avionics Technician / Installer , you’ll work directly with the Avionics Supervisor and Engineering team from concept to completion, performing hands-on installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance. 🚀 What You’ll Do

• Perform avionics installation and maintenance projects of all sizes, including retrofit programs on Cirrus and other General Aviation aircraft.
• Perform wiring harness fabrication, routing, and termination for avionics and autopilot systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of avionics systems, including Nav, Comm, GPS, Transponders, DME, WX Radar, EFIS, Altimeters, Autopilots, Datalink Weather and Traffic Systems, and GPWS.
• Conduct pitot / static and transponder system testing, certification, and RVSM checks.
• Perform Garmin system installations and configurations (G500, G1000-Perspective, GFC, GTN and GTX), including Avidyne, Aspen and other avionics systems.
• Execute database and firmware updates, equipment modifications, as well as airworthiness directive / service bulletin compliance.
• Ensure adherence to FAA regulations and maintain detailed documentation for Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) compliance.
• Coordinate with the Avionics Department Supervisor to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the Avionics department.
