JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY :

Responsible for maintaining the Unit’s supplies, emergency equipment for patient rooms. Works closely with Supply Chain and Distribution team to ensure delivery of supplies to unit, as appropriate. Maintains common areas, workstations, supply rooms and storage areas to ensure organizational standards are met.

Education

• High School or GED
• Familiarity with medical device terminology

Experience

• One year of experience in medical setting, supply management or billing preferred

Skills

• Skill in using computer software programs (i.e. Word, Excel); experience with business enterprise applications preferred
• Basic knowledge of order entry
• Basic knowledge in data analysis to interpret bill of good and patient billing
• Ability to analyze, synthesize monthly data
• Ability to efficiently and accurately maintain department inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required to effectively interact with staff, physicians, ancillary departments, patients, and family members
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks without constant supervision.

• None

Physical Requirements

• Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for up to twenty percent of work time.
• Ability to stand and walk almost constantly up to 90% of work time.
• Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
• Ability to bend constantly.
• Ability to reach, stand and walk.

Working Conditions

• Normal patient care environment.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful completion of orientation conducted by the Nurse Manager or nurse leader designee.
