Engineering Drafter

Position: Engineering Drafter
Employee Type: Full-Time (1st Shift)

Responsibilities:
- Create preliminary and final drawings of Operation manufacturing sheets and setup sheets from engineer's direction
- Extract or modify designs based upon manufacturing capabilities
- Create solid 3D models using SolidWorks software
- Work as a member of an integrated, interdisciplinary product team to develop solutions for various projects and applications
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and setup issues while working with technicians and engineering teams
- Complete action items, release orders, 3-D models, part drawings, and assembly drawings
- Supporting designers for creating engineering drawing
- Ensure the company drafting standards are followed
- Ensure tasks performed are error free
- Adhere to the time and date schedules for drawing and projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- 2+ years' working experience aerospace design, engineering or product development
- Proficient in SolidWorks and transformation of 3D models to drawing
- Ability to multi-task, be a self-starter, meet deadlines consistently
- Must have excellent communication skills; verbal, written and presentation
- Team leading ability, good problem-solving skills

• While performing duties for this job, it’s required to alternate between standing and sitting. Also perform walking, gross manipulation, visual acuity, climbing stairs, ladders, ramps, fine motor manipulation, lifting/carrying, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to move or transfer products with an overhead crane
• Must be able to perform repetitive movements daily.
• Required to always wear safety shoes and safety glasses when on the shop floor.
• Possible risk of injury from equipment or sharp parts and may be required to use protective equipment such as gowns and safety goggles.
• Assignment may require working on loud and potentially dangerous machinery/materials.
• Required to use computer or touch screen to enter work order data.
• Must be able to move and lift objects of up to 40 lbs.
• May require local travel
