New General Cafe & Coffee Bar — Winter Park, FL

New General Cafe in Winter Park, FL is seeking a  seasoned Line Cook  to join our culinary team. Located just off Park Avenue, we’re a wellness-focused café known for clean ingredients, thoughtful presentation, and a tight-knit, positive kitchen culture.

This is the  ideal position for someone seeking work-life balance —our kitchen operates daytime hours 7 : 30am-5pm with  no late night shifts .

Location :  155 E New England Ave, Winter Park, FL

Position Type :   Part-time

Responsibilities

  • Set up and stock stations
  • Execute prep tasks such as chopping, portioning, and sauce preparation
  • Cook and assemble dishes with consistency, efficiency, and attention to plating
  • Maintain expected ticket times and communicate effectively on the line
  • Keep a clean, organized, and sanitary station throughout service
  • Support daily breakdown and kitchen closing routines

Qualifications

  • Previous line cook experience in a fast-paced environment
  • ServSafe Certified
  • Proven ability to work with speed, accuracy, and grace under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills
  • Reliable with consistent attendance and schedule flexibility
  • Experience with plant-based, gluten-free, or health-forward food is a plus
