The is currently seeking part-time (adjunct) faculty to teach face-to-face for day, evening, and weekend courses at our partner correctional institutions:
- Allen Correctional – Lima, Ohio
- Correctional Reception Center – Orient, Ohio
- Dayton Correctional – Dayton, Ohio
- Franklin Medical Center – Columbus, Ohio
- Lebanon Correctional – Lebanon, Ohio
- Madison Correctional – London, Ohio
- Ohio Reformatory for Women – Marysville, Ohio
- Pickaway Correctional – Columbus (Orient), Ohio
- Ross Correctional – Chillicothe, Ohio
- Southeastern Correctional – Lancaster, Ohio
- Southern Ohio Correctional – Lucasville, Ohio
- Warren Correctional – Lebanon, Ohio

- Work closely with MHAS AJT Coordinator: to plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning distribute syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department and divisional policies following the course content and learning materials to communicate course expectations with students
- Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies, use available instructional technology when appropriate
- Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student’s needs
- Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success
- Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning
- Maintain accurate records of student progress
- Submit final grade rosters according to established deadlines
- Maintain confidentiality of student information
- Cannot exceed maximum of 12 credit hours per semester
Requirements
- Minimum of a master’s degree in the content area or related field is required
- Must have knowledge of your local community mental health and addiction service agencies required
- Evidence of successful prior teaching experience is preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies shown to help students succeed at the course and program level preferred
- Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills with the capacity to work successfully in a culturally diverse college community required
- Must possess demonstrated skills in using modern educational technology, including multimedia-based instruction required
- Ability to pass a DRC background check required
