Masterite Division of DCX-CHOL Enterprises Inc. is seeking experienced Solder Assemblers with the following qualifications :

SUMMARY OF POSITION :

With supervision prepare and solders electronic components onto Printer Circuit Boards (PCBs) according to specifications. Key Performance Indictors : List two to five measurable tasks that are key to indicating the performance level in this role :

 Perform basic SMT and thru hole hand component soldering per IPC-610 Class 3, J-Std-001

 Operate hand and / or automatic tools safely.

 Lead forming of different types of electronic parts using hand tools and soldering stations on PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assembly.

 Work with leaded and lead- free solder.

 Basic ability to read PCB assembly drawings and related documents; ECN’s, assembly instructions.

 Utilize electrical and manual tools such as soldering iron, de-soldering equipment, and solder removal tools.

 Basic understanding of PCB assembly processes, component installation sequence of thru hole components.

 Maintains department specific records.

 Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications and Experience :

 High School Diploma or equivalent

 2+yrs Soldering experience – must have fine pitch and through microscope. (Need to pass Soldering test)

 Soldering multiple components on a circuit board.

 Requires excellent speed and accuracy

 Familiarity with ovens, hot plates, hot air pencil, etc.

 Soldering Experience per IPC-610 Class 3, J-Std-001.

 Ability to Read & Interpret Blueprints, Schematics, Traveler / Routers, Bills of Material & Wire Lists.

 Able to use a microscope to solder for extended periods

 Dexterity, steady hand to manipulate and position extremely small devices.

 Must be able to understand and follow verbal instructions and be detailed oriented.

 Maintain a clean, safe well organized work-station through routine housekeeping.

 Normal work time spent indoors

 A neat and tidy personal appearance must be maintained;

◦Occasional periods of high levels of physical exertion needed, this includes heavy

lifting (50+ lb.), walking, bending, pushing large loads, carrying, stooping, reaching, etc.
