Human Resources Assistant

• Position : Full-Time
• Compensation : $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
• Schedule : Monday - Friday, Standard Office Hours

About the Role:

Are you looking to kickstart your career in Human Resources? We're seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our HR team. This entry-level position is perfect for someone who thrives in a team environment, can handle multiple tasks, and is eager to learn and grow in the field of HR. You'll be responsible for maintaining a positive and productive office atmosphere, ensuring confidentiality, and supporting various HR functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and manage the office filing system; retrieve materials as needed.
• Scan and organize employee documents into personnel files using HR systems.
• Provide administrative support by entering, formatting, and printing information, organizing work, and handling phone calls.
• Sort and distribute HR mail.
• Complete employment verifications and respond to unemployment claims.
• Assist with handling complaints, including reviewing and exporting footage as needed.
• Track and manage COVID-related records.
• Prepare and coordinate supply orders.
• Cross-train in other HR areas to provide backup support as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by HR leadership.

What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
• A quick learner who can work independently and maintain confidentiality.
• 1-2 years of experience in an HR related role.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds and performing tasks that involve bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
