Job Summary :

The Business Developer is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities for the company. This role involves building relationships with potential clients, understanding their needs, and presenting tailored solutions to address those needs. The Business Developer plays a key role in driving revenue growth and expanding the company's client base.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

  • None.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Conducts market research to identify potential clients and industry trends, staying informed about market developments and competitor activities.
  • Generates leads through networking, cold calling, email campaigns, and other lead generation activities.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with potential clients, understanding their business needs and challenges.
  • Conducts needs assessments with potential clients to understand their requirements and pain points and identifies opportunities for the company to provide solutions.
  • Prepares and presents proposals to potential clients, outlining the company's services, benefits, and value proposition.
  • Negotiates contracts, terms, and pricing with potential clients, ensuring that agreements are mutually beneficial and meet the company's objectives.
  • Manages the sales pipeline, tracking leads, opportunities, and activities in the CRM system, and providing regular updates to management.
  • Collaborates with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure alignment of efforts and maximize opportunities for business development.
  • Follows up with potential clients to address questions, overcome objections, and facilitate the closing of deals.
  • Maintains relationships with existing clients, providing ongoing support and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional services.
  • Analyzes market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business growth and development.
  • Attends industry events, conferences, and networking functions to expand professional networks and generate business leads.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Required Skills / Abilities :

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with clients.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of closing deals and achieving sales targets.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to identify opportunities and develop innovative solutions.
  • Results-oriented mindset, with a focus on driving revenue growth and achieving business objectives.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor landscape.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to respond to changing market conditions and customer needs.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of business development.
  • Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in the same industry or sector.
  • Demonstrated success in generating leads, closing deals, and driving revenue growth.
  • Experience with CRM software and sales tools may be advantageous.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to navigate various departments of the organization's physical premises.
  • Occasional travel to meet with clients or attend events may be required.
